Social isolation impacts all of us and is a growing health epidemic. 36% of seniors in Santa Cruz County report experiencing social isolation. These seniors feel alone, detached from family, friends, and the community. The Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History has teamed up with artists, seniors, and fellow advocates of C3 to create artwork about what it’s like to be a senior experiencing loneliness or isolation in Santa Cruz County. This exhibition shares local seniors' personal stories with social isolation and provides community members with opportunities to take action for a more inclusive community.

View the exhibition at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History April 5th - September 22nd. Learn more about the exhibition at the Santa Cruz Museum of Art and History website.

You can take action to support isolated seniors by volunteering with a local organization.
