The Roots and Wings program provides community based support to foster families and relatives with children in their care. In Santa Cruz County, many children are removed from their families every year due to abuse and neglect. The Roots and Wings Program works directly with foster families and offers a variety of services to help children stay rooted in their communities. Volunteers are needed to assist foster children with academic tutoring and enrichment activities. Community members can also volunteer to help transport donated items to households and assist with minor home repairs.
