Organization Profile

Breakaway College Access Project

Total Training Academy is Breakaway's co-ed after school academic and soccer training for skilled youth soccer players, grades 7th-12th, in the Pajaro Valley. Activities include study supports, college-readiness information, and advanced soccer training. Breakaway's mission is to foster higher learning as a community standard by integrating education and a community's passion. In the Pajaro Valley, that passion is soccer. Our activities target the potential college-bound student and their families, using their commitment to soccer as a vehicle for educational support and mentoring. Our goal to increase the number of students who are ready for college and who pursue a 4-year university degree. Breakaway is not part of a school or the school district. We work closely with the educational system to expand the limited college-readiness resources that currently exist in our school district. And we exist, with a fervent voice and visible community presences, to raise community expectations that college as an option for everyone.
