Friends of the World Food Program is a US-based non-profit organization dedicated to building support for the World Food Program (WFP)-- the United Nations' lead humanitarian agency in the fight against global hunger. Our mission is to: Increase awareness about global hunger issues Mobilize support for hunger relief programs and activities Generate resources for WFP operations and other activities that alleviate hunger The Santa Cruz committee for Friends of the WFP will be periodically hosting events to help fundraise and awareness-raise for the WFP. We can always use your help to prepare for or execute these events! Any amount of your time or resources is helpful. We are constantly planning events, so you can send an email to: WFP.California@friendsofwfp.org with your contact information so we may contact you when a helping hand is needed. We look forward to hearing from you!
