Organization Profile

Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay

https://www.habitatmontereybay.com/

A non-profit organization dedicated to providing home ownership opportunities for qualified low income families. Founded in 1989, Habitat for Humanity Monterey Bay (HfHMB) is the oldest nonprofit organization providing affordable home ownership opportunities in Santa Cruz and Monterey counties. In the fall of 2016 HfH Santa Cruz merged with Habitat for Humanity in Monterey County. The organization is currently working on building seven single family homes in the Live Oak area and several Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU) in Santa Cruz. HfHMB performs many roles in the development of affordable homes. We not only secure the land and development permits for the homes but also supervise the construction of the homes, select eligible families and provide 0% mortgage financing. In order to provide the most affordable home possible, our organization utilizes volunteer labor and donated materials.
