Join us for UCSC Family Weekend for a beach clean up on Saturday, November 7th from 10:30am - 12:00pm
Main Beach is a beloved and relaxing location for Santa Cruz locals and visitors alike. The beauty of this beach also attracts large crowds all year long, especially during busy summer months. Illegal fires, partying, and inappropriate disposal of trash has been harmful to local wildlife, neighbors and tourists. Help us monitor and clean up Main Beach!
Individual and group volunteers are welcome. The Volunteer Center provides all necessary supplies, and we encourage volunteers to bring their own reusable buckets, gloves, and water bottles, wear sturdy shoes, sun protection and to dress in layers.
Check in will be located on the deck next to the Ideal Bar and Grill the beach at 108 Beach St, Santa Cruz, CA 95060
We will be cleaning RAIN or SHINE!
We will meet at 10:30 AM next to the bathrooms (with the mural on the side) between the vollyball nets and Ideal Bar and Grill.
Bring a Friend! When you sign up you will have the option to sign up for additional people.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 5+, Minimum Age:17+, Court Ordered Volunteer - Allowed
