Join the International Coastal Cleanup at Moran Lake Beach - California's largest annual volunteer event!
Spend your Saturday morning making a difference for our local coastline! Join Clean Oceans International (COI) at Moran Lake Beach for the 2026 International Coastal Cleanup, part of a worldwide effort to remove and document debris from beaches and waterways.
COI is serving as the Site Lead for Moran Lake Beach, where volunteers will work together to remove trash and plastic debris before it makes its way into Monterey Bay.
Come on your own or bring your friends, family, classmates, or coworkers. No experience is necessary—all are welcome! COI will provide cleanup instructions and supplies but we encourage volunteers to bring their own reusable gloves and buckets/bags if possible, to decrease waste.
What You'll Do:
Collect plastic and other debris from Moran Lake Beach and surrounding neighborhoods
Help protect local wildlife and the Monterey Bay
Contribute to a worldwide effort to address marine debris
Meet other community members who care about our coast
Please note: Cleanup activities involve walking on sand and uneven terrain, as well as bending or reaching to collect debris. Volunteers should be comfortable with these activities and wear sturdy, comfortable shoes.
Advance registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome!
