Food Distribution Delivery Driver

Help us get fresh, nutritious food to our homebound patients in Santa Cruz!

Volunteer as a delivery driver for our food distibution event! We need insured drivers with a clean record and reliable transportation to deliver food to homes in Santa Cruz.
- While we operate a weekly food distribution event at the Live Oak Health Center on Fridays from 3:00-4:00 PM, many of our community members cannot make it in person. Our delivery team ensures our community members have acccess to the food resources they need. We will provide you with a list of 3-5 homes that we deliver bags of fresh produce and/or boxes of non-perishable pantry items to.
Arrive at 2:00 PM for pick-up. Deliveries typically take about 1 hour to complete.
- If 2:00PM is too early, we can coordinate a later pickup time, as late as 3:30PM

Volunteers should be prepared to lift and carry produce bags weighing up to 25 lbs. On arrival, we will provide a wagon to help load up deliveries from the food distribution site to your car, and also offer volunteer identification magnets for your vehicle.
