We are looking for coaches to help build the next generation of great people! In our league, the spirit of the game is emphasized over competition. Coaches can choose which division they would like to coach, ranging in ages 4-13. If you want to share the sport of soccer with kids in Watsonville, we want to meet you! You don't need to have a lot of experience with coaching.
The league runs from August 25th to November 1st and coaches are asked to stay for the season. Most coashes volunteer about 2-hours per week for 10 weeks.
Practices take place at Franich Park in a 1-hour time frame between 5-7pm once a week (usually Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday).
Games take place at E.A. Hall Middle School on Saturdays and last around 1 hour.
All volunteer coaches are required to complete a background check before they volunteer and must be at least 15-years old. Volunteers also get some perks from the Watsonville Parks department such as credits to use on classes, coache's shirts, volunteer of the month opportunities, milestone achievements, professional development and more.
The pre-season coach meeting is tentatively scheduled for August 20th - so don't wait and "Express Interest" today!
