Tara Home Compassionate Volunteers

Volunteers are trained to provide compassionate care for those at the end of life. Simple tasks of sitting bedside with hospice patients, listening, running errands, laundry, cleaning, massage, accupuncture. Volunteers are also needed to help with fundraising, social media and other administrative support.

Training is provided online and covers a variety of topics.

Volunteers are expected to commit to 4-8 hours of service 2-4 times per month.

Continuing education are credits available. Nurses or nursing students often find Tara Home a rewarding volunteer experience, as well as those who simply wish to offer company to someone in need of kindness and companionship in their last weeks, days, and hours.

We are located in the redwoods on the Land of Medicine Buddha campus.
