Opportunity Details
The Long Term Recovery Group of Santa Cruz County is committed to helping local families rebuild their lives after disasters. Our Volunteer Rebuild Program is a key component of this mission, providing hands-on support to those affected by the CZU Lightning Complex Fire and 2023 Atmospheric Rivers.
We construct modest, affordable homes from the ground up for eligible households who have lost their primary residence due to a disaster. We also support completion of rebuilds or repairs in progress to achieve safe and sanitary housing for clients. Our program offers a sense of hope and community to our disaster impacted neighbors, helping them rebuild their lives and regain a sense of normalcy.
Join our team of dedicated volunteers and contribute your time and skills to help bring families home. By working together, we can help families rebuild their homes and their lives.
Small groups up to 8 people can work on a project together, but most volunteers are individuals.
Youth ages 16+ are welcome to volunteer with an adult.
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+, Skills: Construction Specialties
