Are you looking for a fun way to get into the holiday spirit this year?
Our Adopt a Family program helps 2,000 local children and their families have a wonderful holiday season!
This project is powered by volunteers and we need your help at our donation center with intake of donations, sorting donations, and making sure that gifts make it into the hands of the agencies that will be delivering holiday packages to families this year. Please note that most of the donations come in pre-wrapped, so we typically do NOT wrap many gifts.
Volunteer Tasks Include:
We recommend this project for kids over 10 - as it is sometimes difficult for younger kids to spend so much time in the warehouse.
*If the day you'd like to volunteer is full - please add yourself to the wait list and we will let you know if we have space - we can usually accomodate a few extra volunteers.
Volunteer Duties by date:
Dec 9 - 14 - Greeting Donors, Receiving donations, Inventory, Sorting and packaging gifts for families
Dec 15 - Inventory, Sorting and packaging gifts for families - Need help assembling bikes! (please bring tools if you have them)
Dec 16 - Inventory, Sorting and packaging gifts for families and Gift Distribution
Dec 17 & 18 - Gift Distribution to partnering agencies - Need morning volunteers!
Dec 19 - Gift sorting, packaging and distributing to Waitlist
Dec 21 - Gift Distribution to waitlist and Clean Up
Bring a Friend! When you sign up you will have the option to sign up for additional people - they won't be included in your initial confirmation email, but we will send a follow up email to confirm your guests.
