Assist Local Elders
Volunteers needed for the 20th Annual SENIOR WISH DAY
A One-Day Event on Saturday, May 2nd, 2015 from 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
Join us in helping low income Santa Cruz County Senior home owners with minor home repairs /tasks including: computers, cell phones or paperwork, leaky faucets, electrical issues, bathroom grab bars, cabon monoxide alarms, or just changing out of reach light bulbs. Your donation of time on this one day can significantly improve the lives of Seniors in our community; they really appreciate our time and companionship.
Senior Wish Day is a no-cost event for the low-income homeowners. Materials are donated by local businesses or underwritten by Costa Bella Builders in most cases. Many of our elderly neighbors on fixed incomes cannot afford necessary household repairs. These are often items that will go unresolved without assitance. In some cases, this will lead to unsafe or hazardous situations in the home, possibly endangering the occupants. Last year, over 67 volunteers served more than 162 senior housholds. This year the need is even greater.
Event will kick off at 8 a.m. at the Costa Bella Builders NEW office parking area:
8032 Soquel Drive in Aptos (Just past the Nicene Marks Park Entrance Road.)
Free coffee, bagels, juice, etc. provided.
