Opportunity Details

Outdoor Science School Cabin Leader

The Cabin Leader Program is an incredible chance for high school students to build leadership and professional development skills, learn about redwood ecology and outdoor education, and engage with their local community by mentoring 5th grade students. Cabin Leaders also earn 60 hours of community service for each week of participation, with food and lodging provided at no cost.

As a Cabin Leader, high school students spend the week at our campus located at the Koinonia Conference Grounds. They live in a cabin with 8–12 fifth graders, guiding them on hikes, supporting them during campfire programs, participating in the ropes course, and working alongside SCCOSS instructors and staff to ensure a safe and fun week.
