Volunteers needed for After School Tutoring Program at the Beach Flats Community Center!
Our after school program offers low-income youth in elementary and middle school homework assistance across all subjects. Our elementary group meets Monday through Wednesday, and our middle school group meets Monday through Thursday. Both groups meet from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Volunteer tutors to help kids do their homework and work on basic reading and math skills. Tutors are matched with students for One-on-one appointments for 45 minutes.
Appointments available 1:00pm- 6:00pm Monday-Thursday throughout the school year - we take off school holidays.
Orientation and Training provided and we ask that volunteers commit to at least one afternoon per week.
Must be at least 14 years old - high school students are encouraged to volunteer.
