Pilkington Creek Habitat Restoration at Tyrell Park

"Come join your local community in coastal restoration at Seabright Beach. Help make our coast a better place and learn about coastal ecology

When:  most Sundays, 10am – 1pm (contact the project leader for more information)

Where:  Tyrrell Park (by the Museum of Natural History), Santa Cruz CA

Description:  Come join your local community in restoring this riparian woodland to native habitat. Help make this a refuge for birds and pollinators and learn about stream ecology.

Activities vary by season:
  • Spring/Summer/Fall/Winter: clearing invasive plants, pruning, mulching, and watering
  • Fall/Winter: planting native plants
Come prepared: dress in layers, long pants and shirt, closed toed shoes, hat, sunscreen, and water bottle recommended. Tools provided.
