2022 MLK Day Beach Clean-up!
Join us for a beach day! Help pick up trash at Main Beach on MLK Day of Service. January 17th, 2022 from 10:00 am-12:00 pm.
Main Beach is a beloved and relaxing location for Santa Cruz locals and visitors alike. The beauty of this beach also attracts large crowds all year long, especially during busy summer months. Illegal fires, partying, and inappropriate disposal of trash have been harmful to local wildlife, neighbors, and tourists. Help us monitor and clean up Main Beach!
Individual and group volunteers are welcome. The Volunteer Center provides all necessary supplies, and we encourage volunteers to bring their own reusable buckets, gloves, and water bottles, wear sturdy shoes, sun protection, and to dress in layers.
Check-in will be located above the beach at 106 Beach St, Santa Cruz, CA 95060 (next to Ideal Bar and Grill). We will meet at 10 am to get everyone checked in for the event.
We will be cleaning RAIN or SHINE!
