Opportunity Details
Volunteers in Family Support Services assist staff with food and donation programs by putting together food bags and assisting participants when they come to pick-up groceries.
No previous experience required. Bilingual Spanish-speakers are strongly encouraged to participate!
Requirements
Be able to lift 20 pounds
Be 18 years or older
Volunteer in person at our facility in downtown Santa Cruz
Have not received domestic violence services as a participant with Walnut Avenue for a minimum of two years
Attend a Walnut Avenue volunteer orientation
Pass a fingerprinting/criminal background check
Time Commitment
Volunteers are needed on Thursdays and Fridays. Morining shift is 9am - 1pm and afternoon shift is 2pm - 5pm.
Associated Costs
Standard criminal background check: $45
