Serve our community with the Volunteer Initiative Program!
All VIP internships and volunteer opportunities are unpaid positions designed to give students, graduates, and community members exposure to aspects of local government. The Volunteer Initiative Program matches interested community members with volunteer internships across Santa Cruz County Departments. A volunteer opportunity or volunteer internship is an excellent way to gain skills, update your resume, and serve our community.
Please complete a Volunteer Initiative Program (VIP) application online on the VIP Website
Make sure to include which departments you are interested in volunteering with. It is highly recommended to include a cover letter and resume to assist with the placement process.
