Friends Outside Volunteer

Do you have a passion for social change and criminal justice? Are you an advocate for criminal offenders and ex-offenders? Do you believe in restoring justice, providing hope, and supporting change for those impacted by incarceration? 

Friends Outside is a program that supports people that are incarcerated in a local jail, on probation and those recently released in Santa Cruz County.

Volunteers with Friends Outside assist our staff to teach classes inside the local jails.

Requirements:

  • Volunteers will be trained at no cost by Friends Outside

  • Meet the requirements for jail clearance

  • Minimum of 1-year of service
