The UC Santa Cruz Arboretum is seeking your assistance this MLK Day with two opportunities to help in the garden.
Help beautify the California Conservation Garden (CCG), a collection for rare and endangered plant communities of the Central Coast!
Tasks will include weeding in the California Conservation Garden.
OR
Dr.Ball's Redwood Grove needs pruning of its branches along the redwood trail.
This project is for adults and children with their parents, as we will be using clippers, saws, and loppers, which can only be handled by adults. We will have people pair up, so one person is holding the branch while the other saws/cuts down the branch.

Location: UCSC Arboretum - 1156 High Street, Santa Cruz
Time: 10am - 12pm OR 12pm -2pm (you can join for either shift or both)
Things We'll Provide: Snacks, Tools (please bring gloves, we have a small limited amount), On-site training (no experience necessary)
Things to Bring: Gloves (if you have them), Water and Lunch (if needed)
Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+
