Mariposa Wellness Center Beautification for MLK Day

This project is now full -- Thank you for your interst in supporting this project we have surpassed the capacity for how many people we can accomodate.
For more projects on MLK Day please go here.

Join the Kaiser Permanente employees and the Community Connection on MLK Day of Service, Monday, January 20th. We will be installing an urban garden and updating the lounge at the Mariposa Wellness Center in downtown Watsonville.

We are dedicated to helping adults lead healthier and more productive lives by overcoming mental health and chemical dependency challenges. Through our resources and tools we enable people to provide a life for themselves and their families. We help adults build stronger bridges to our community through education, job, housing and lifestyle support. This project will benefit everyone at the center, but it will especially support the Healthy Connection program - a whole person healthy lifestyle program that promotes mental health through proper nutrition, physical activity, gardening and wholesome living.

At the end of the day, volunteers can look back on the work they’ve accomplished, the people they’ve connected with, and know that they’ve made a difference in their community that day.

Tools, supplies and refreshments are provided. More specific meeting location will be shared upon registration.

All community members are welcome to attend!
