New Docent Orientation

Help educate the next generation of environmental stewards! Join one of the leading providers of environmental education in Santa Cruz County as a volunteer docent at the Santa Cruz Museum of Natural History.

Teach intimate groups of elementary students in our museum, and/or out in the field at Neary Lagoon or Pogonip. Lead kids through inquiry-based learning in discovering the importance of natural history right here in Santa Cruz County. Program topics include wetlands, watersheds, Native Americans, animal adaptations, and more. No teaching experience required!

Join us on Tuesday, January 15 from 9:00 - 10:30 a.m. or Wednesday, January 16 from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. for a new docent orientation at the Museum. Learn more about the volunteer program at the Museum, and what it takes to become a docent.
