Watsonville Connect Help make our community a better place to live for all!
We are looking for volunteers (especially volunteers that speak both English and Spanish!) to participate in our fifth annual Watsonville Connect event on November 14th!
The majority of our volunteers will be client advocates who help guide folks attending the event find and access the services they need. This is a great opportunity to connect and meet members of our community that you may not otherwise interact with. You can make a huge difference in someone's life by helping them find what they need to make their life a little easier.
We need volunteers who are hair stylists. This is a fantastic service to be able to provide to clients; a great haircut and/or shave goes a long way in making someone feel good.
We are also in need of volunteers for event set up and break down, client sign in/intake, bag check, to help distribute giveaways, and other logistical tasks on the day of the event.
There is one set up shift the day before the event, and two shifts on the day of the event. Please feel free to volunteer for any and all times you are available.
Day before event shift:

2:00pm - 5:00pm
Day of event shifts:
Wednesday, November 14, 2018
8:30am - 12:30pm
12:00pm - 4:00pm
Volunteers will receive a training guide via email prior to the event with logistical information (parking, etc.), a list of services we will be offering to clients at the event, and tips on how to be a client advocate. We will also hold a brief training at the beginning of each volunteer shift on the day of the event.
