School Program Docent

Do you love working with children? Are you excited to inspire future environmental stewards? Help us lead educational programs for school groups, grades K-5, weekday morning. 

Our programs run throughout the school year Sept- June. Volunteer shifts vary based on the program, but are typically on weekday mornings (Tues- Fri), 8am-­12pm. 

Docents are asked to commit to 1 shift per week. Shifts are approximately 2.5 hours long. 

Museum Docent Programs: Ohlone Program (K-4th grade) Our Animal Neighbors Program (K-2nd grade) 
Field Docent Programs: Neary Lagoon Wetland Walk (3rd grade) Neary Lagoon Watershed Walk (5th grade) Pogonip Nature Rangers Program (4th grade).

All volunteers receive training and support.
