WomenCARE provides emotional and practical support to women with any type of cancer, and their loved ones.
We need someone to assist the Event Chair with our annual event, Strike Out Against Cancer bowling fundraiser. Duties will be dependent on skill set and interest but may include any of the following:
-Team development
-Raffle and Silent Auction item follow-up
-Follow up calls to bowlers
-Advertising on event calendars and social media
-Mailing bowling packets
-Data entry
-Distributing posters and flyers around Santa Cruz County
-Community outreach
This event is our biggest fundraiser of the year and is VERY important to keep our program's door's open so we can continue to provide cancer support services free of charge.
Flexible days/times during: Monday & Wednesday 10am - 1pm; Tuesday & Thursday 1pm - 5pm (if working in-office). Work that is done outside of office (picking up raffle items, distributing flyers, outreach, etc) can be done when convenient (as long as deadlines are met).
Depending on the tasks assigned, we would like someone who is comfortable speaking to others in person and on the phone, has a working knowledge of computers, can work independently once they are trained to do specific tasks.
You will gain event planning experience, professional growth, and have the opportunity to work with a wonderful program and fun people!
