Moore Creek Preserve Volunteers for MLK Day of Service
Come join the Land Trust of Santa Cruz County at Moore Creek Preserve. We will be celebrating Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a community volunteer event. Volunteers will pull the invasive French broom plant along the creek. This is a continued effort to remove French broom and maintain diversity of the native plant species. Learn why it’s important to remove this invasive and get to explore this beautiful preserve.
We will meet at the west entrance of Moore Creek Preserve off of Meder st. Please consider alternative transportation or carpooling as parking is very limited. There is no parking on Meder st. You may need to come early so you will have time to walk to the entrance from your parking spot.
To bring: Water, Gloves, sturdy closed- toed shoes, lunch if you wish, and weather appropriate clothing.
The Land Trust will provide water for refill, snacks, and gloves if needed.
This event is subject to cancellation in the event of rain. If you have RSVP’d you will be notified of the cancellation via email.
