Opportunity Details
Volunteers are needed to table at different events and share information about the census: why it is important, what the economic impact of under counts mean, signups for volunteers etc.
Short trainings will be provided to help educate tablers on the census and how to engage with the larger population on this issue in a non-political way. The county's unofficial slogan for the census is "I count! You count! We count!"
Volunteer shifts are generally 2-3 hours and the schedule is flexible. Volunteers are needed for outreach throughout Santa Cruz County.
We need many volunteers to ensure that our county is ready for the census. Please join us!

Strawberry Festival August 3rd and 4th
We will be tabling at the Watsonville Strawberry Festival, Saturday August 3 and Sunday August 4. The booth will be in the plaza area, and we are requesting a minimum of 2, possibly up to 4 volunteers per shift. Grab a friend and SIGN UP here: https://forms.gle/
National Night Out: Tuesday August 6, 2019
Our booth will be at the Plaza and we are looking for 3-4 volunteers per shift. See times below. Millions of neighbors in thousands of communities across the U.S. take part in National Night Out, started in 1984, on the first Tuesday in August with block parties, festivals, parades, cookouts and often with such activities as safety demonstrations.
