Watsonville Connect is a one-day community wide event that provides housing support and quality of life resources to individuals experiencing homelessness in our community.
There are 2 shifts on Wednesday, November 14th:
- 8:30am to 12:30pm
- 12:00pm to 4:00pm
You can volunteer for one shift or stay all day.
Volunteers assist homeless clients in navigating the services available and help them identify what servcies they'd like to recieve.
In order to provide an integrated system of care Watsonville Connect focuses on each aspect of homelessness, providing everything from California identification and disability benefits to clean socks and a warm meal. Hundreds of individuals, corporations, nonprofits, and government agencies provide PHC and its clients with services such as dental care, eyeglasses, family support, food, HIV testing, housing, hygiene products, medical care, mental health services, substance abuse treatment, SSI benefits, legal advice, voice mail, employment counseling, job placement, wheelchair repair, veterinary services, and more.
We need 300 community volunteers to make this event possible!
