Join us in our garden on Make A Difference Day! Our Native Plant Garden and Pollinator Garden are explored by thousands of visiting school children each year. By tidying up the gardens and planting new plants, we can clarify and expand the educational opportunities for students and our community. Tasks will include weeding, pruning, planting, and watering. Volunteers should bring gardening gloves if they own them, hat and sunscreen, and a water bottle. We highly recommend that volunteers wear closed toe shoes and long pants and encourage sustainable transportation, such as walking, biking, busing, and carpooling. Car parking is available on Pilkington Avenue or in surrounding streets. Meet at the Museum amphitheater (located outside, behind the Museum) to prune, weed and to plant some plants from the Master Gardeners and the California Native Plant Society. Please wear long sleeves, closed toed shoes and bring gloves and tools (if you have them).
